Women’s Prayer Circle (WPC) was born out of a burden God gave me through a dream I had in March 2017. He revealed to me to gather women specifically, to study the Bible and pray. However, this was not the first time I had received this message. A couple of years prior, I had a similar message, but I questioned God saying, Lord, I don’t know how to start a Church even though God gave me the name for it. I ignored that revelation, but when the Women’s Prayer Circle was revealed to me in a dream right before Lent, it became clear that the time was ripe. I knew I could no longer ignore it.
On March 3, 2017, with God’s guidance I was able to bring together a group of women across the US on a prayer line to read and discuss scripture, praise and worship, and lift burdens to the Lord by prayer and supplication. As a result, Friday has been specifically designated as the day for our weekly meetings. Due to the success of the weekly meetings and testimonies emanating from the prayers/prayer requests, it became the desire of the women to expand the scope of our prayer life. In January of 2018, Tuesday was added specifically to pray, lift up prayer requests, worship, give praise and thanksgiving. Our Prayer Circle is interactive. We study the word together, hold each other up in prayer as well as our families, our friends, our community, and the world at large. We pay particular attention to prayer requests.
We are a mosaic of women from different backgrounds, and we are open to and embrace women of every race, color, nationality or creed. Throughout the past year, we have prayed fervently and we are grateful that God has answered many prayer requests. God may not always answer the way we expect, but sure answers every prayer. And so, on behalf of all my sisters, I am thankful for what God has been doing with the group and continues to do. We look forward to God’s future plans. We don't know where He is going to take the Circle, but as the old folks used to say, I know, that I know, that I know, that God is going to take us to higher heights. I pray that God's Love, Joy, and Shalom will always be ours, and all who come to the Circle.
