“A MESSAGE & PRAYER FROM THE HEART”
We all know that now more so than ever, we live in a world full of insecurity, uncertainties, and
questions. This journey of life is just like the ocean. It’s dangerous, it’s unstable, it’s
unpredictable, and we are like the ships on the ocean being drifted, tossed about, and driven by
the wind. But God has provided an anchor of hope for us, and that anchor of hope is Jesus
Christ. In spite of what’s going on around us, especially at this time with COVID-19, as
Christians we have to rest our hope on that anchor, with our prayers.
Charles Spurgeon said, “Prayer is the forerunner of mercy… scarcely ever did a great mercy
come to this world unheralded by supplication.”
For such a time as this we need a Savior, in times like this we need an anchor. Priscilla Owens
wrote one of the classic hymns of the Church, which was inspired by Hebrews 6:10
and the chorus goes:
We have an anchor that keeps the soul
Steadfast and sure while the billows roll
Fasten to the rock which cannot move
Grounded firm and deep in the saviors love
If the anchor is not solid and heavy enough the boat will drift or sink when the weather
conditions at sea become treacherous. Life has storms that come upon us just as COVID-19 did.
Unexpected storms and waves many times hits us right in the middle of the ocean of life. But
God has already provided a stable and secure anchor to rescue and comfort us. That anchor
gives us some peace of mind and an assurance that the storm will not overcome us, but we will
overcome the storm. Family, we are in the storm of COVID-19, let us therefore use the anchor
God has given us called Jesus Christ.
Finally, let us throw out our anchors to hold us firm until the storm passes over, and we will come out on the other side victorious. Because God has given us an anchor of hope to journey
through the storm.
Gracious God, you are our very present help in trouble, you are our comfort and strength in times
of disaster, crisis, chaos, and world epidemic or pandemic. Surround us with your grace and
peace through whatever is happening now in our world Lord. By your Holy Spirit rescue us
from this pandemic called COVID-19, and fill us all with hope. In this time of uncertainty, Lord
be our oasis of grace and peace, through our Resurrected Jesus. May we rest on you as our
anchor of hope to calm our doubts and fears when we are overwhelmed by the storms of life, this
I ask through Jesus Christ, who is our rock, our fortress, our shield and defender. AMEN

Our 1st Anniversary Celebration was a success! It included a Meet & Greet and short worship time on Friday night and was followed by a Prayer Luncheon on Saturday. The Guest Speaker for Saturday's Prayer Luncheon was Reverend Marion Sanders. After the luncheon, the group went on a sight-seeing tour of Philadelphia. The celebration culminated with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday which was held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Bordentown, New Jersey.
Victoria was raised with a Christian background and all her life has had a passion for God and compassion for people. It is these passions that led her to pursue an education and career in Social work, which ultimately stirred up her enthusiasm to answer the call to Ministry.
OUR MISSION - Is to seek God, study, and grow in His Word, meet the needs of each other through prayer, for our families, our friends, our community, and the world at large. To encourage, strengthen, and uplift other women, and be a positive influence in the lives of others, especially girls and young women.
OUR VISION - Women to be united in prayer by the study and understanding of God’s Word. To reflect God’s love through our faithful and prayerful service through which we can all mature spiritually.
